JayLifted Picks Up the "Pressure"

Chicago-based MC Jaylifted just released an incredible visual for his latest single, "Pressure". In his brand new music video, directed by Pat Banahan of Lost TV, Lifted takes us to his hometown of Chicago. Using a drone and animation overlays, he continues to push the boundaries of mixing his artistic vision and the Chicago Hip Hop sound.

JayLifted, also known as Justin Coyoc, was born in Queens NYC after his family moved to the US from Belize to start a better life. As Lifted states, "Growing up I didn't always have life so easy. My parents separated at a young age, so I had to mature quickly. Growing up in high school I would always rap and freestyle with my friends in school. After I barely graduated on time in high school, I tried college. No one in my family had attended college before so I figured it was the right move. At that time I was writing raps in notebooks in class and at my various jobs. I could never hold down a job or stay in school without getting sidetracked with my music." This is some of his story to give you insight on why Lifted feels the "Pressure" when making his music on a daily basis.

JayLifted is currently finishing up his new project, Sooner Than Later. After a recent press listening session, the album has received some amazing feedback and "Pressure" is the second release from the project. A show announcement will be coming next week!
